Richard J. Melson, Ph.D., is the 26th president of Southwest Baptist University. He has served in this role since Sept. 7, 2021.
Administration
The president’s Executive Cabinet includes campus leaders from the areas of academics, administration, enrollment management, athletics, and institutional advancement.
Board of Trustees
SBU is governed by a 25-member Board of Trustees. Members are elected by delegates to the Missouri Baptist Convention annual meeting.
